Today my sister Eryn came over and took some pictures of me with my giant belly since the twins could come at any time. We tried to celebrate the last day of January with a photo session with my three other kids, but it didn't really work out the way we wanted. These pictures pretty much summed up the afternoon.
I'll have the good ones in my 365 layout for next week, and I'll be putting some on Facebook for those of you that have been requesting to see my giant belly. Don't be alarmed, my stomach isn't going to explode any moment like it seems.

Friday 365 Day
Friday, January 29, 2010
I must confess I was a total slacker last week about taking pictures. So I hurried up last weekend and snapped a bunch of photos of the kids in the bath tub, and I think I liked this page the best. Braden bathes the kids every night since my belly is way too big to permit me, and I love that we will forever be reminded of this ritual long when our kids are all grown up and embarrassed that they all bathed together.
I'm Sorry

Because if you are on a diet, I will be responsible for ruining it today.
We were driving home from my ultrasound appointment today and all of a sudden-it hit me. I wanted a churro.
So, when I got home, I dug around and found a churro recipe. And I made them. A lot of them. And now they are all gone. Braden teased me and said my butt now looks like a churro. And he is right. Except he tried to save himself and said he meant delicious and sweet. Nice try.
So now I have to share the recipe with you all. Because sometimes, you just need a churro dang it. And Disneyland is so far away, so it's probably more feasible if you make them yourself.

Blog Inspiration
Wednesday, January 27, 2010
We all have our blogs that we check daily for inspiration (my list is growing exponentially) and on one of my favorites-A Little Sussy- I found a link to this fantastic new blog- Color Me Katie.
Her little world is filled with rainbows and magic and I just love everything about her. I bookmarked her right away and you should too-look at all her cute ideas:
I love the rainbow footprints on the sidewalk by her house! I am so going to do this with my kids.
And I love the rainbow snow she made by her house so it wouldn't turn all brown and disgusting. If only we had snow here! (Even though I'm thankful we don't:)
And good gravy how adorable are those paper airplanes? Again, my kids would LOVE to have those hanging from our doorway. She makes me smile on this cloudy rainy day. I'd love to live in her happy place.
All images are from her blog, and she is insanely talented, so check her out and bask in all her glory.

French Kiss Breakfast
Tuesday, January 26, 2010
If you want a french breakfast with a kiss of lemon deliciousness you need to make Jaimee Rose's lemon crepes. Today. I guess tomorrow would work too. I made them this morning and they are not only easy, they are now my family's new favorite breakfast. Even Braden loved them! Make them when you get sick and tired of making pancakes every week!

Project 365-January Layout #3
Friday, January 22, 2010
It's Friday! Project 365 time! Here's this week's layout template:
And here's the finished product. I kept it pretty simple this week, since my layout is all about us and the kids playing in the backyard. Not a lot of explanations or embellishments needed for this one.
As you can see, I've switched around the template a little to accommodate our pictures, which is the beauty of these templates! They just give you a starting point for your books, and you can play with them and alter them to fit your needs!
I've been slacking this week due to the rain, and haven't taken ANY pictures, so I need to come up with some quick for next weeks layout!

Valentines Gift Idea #2
Thursday, January 21, 2010
We have some really nice neighbors that gave us treats for Christmas, but because I am a slacker, Christmas kind of flew by me and I never had time to put something together for them. Well, I found the perfect treat/gifty for Valentines Day and I am making them for all our nieghbors and some friends at my Real Estate Office. These are simple, inexpensive, and perfect since you don't have to actually do any of the baking-just the assembling!
I found these lovelies on Bakerella (one of my culinary heroes-she needs to write a book) and I switched them up a little for Valentines Day. You can keep them the same as hers of course and do the Cowgirl Theme, but I am going to call mine Cupid Cookies.
Her directions and gorgeous photos are here, so follow them and you can use my recipe card that I made for you & the tags I designed especially for Valentines Day.

Lovely Lemon Bars
Wednesday, January 20, 2010
We have an overwhelming amount of citrus in our house right now that has been so generously given to us, but now I am struggling to find some recipes quickly so it all doesn't go bad! First on the list- Lemon Bars. I used Ina Garten's recipe from the Food Network, and man are these good. Very tart and VERY SWEET, but if that's your thing, these are for you. Actually, my favorite part is the crust, which is buttery heaven. Make these today if you have a lemon overload at your house like me.

Pinwheel Pretties
Tuesday, January 19, 2010
I've been looking around for some cute decoration ideas that can double as gifts, and I found the perfect solution-Pinwheels!
Ashlyn gave me the heads up on this gorgeous wedding from Style Me Pretty that featured these fun pinwheels. The entire wedding was amazing, but the pinwheels really stuck out to me as fun and whimsical-something I want my whole life to be.
Two Peas In A Bucket has a whole Valentines Love Section that features these cute pink pinwheel kits that would be perfect!
Of course if you want to customize your own you can always follow Heather Bailey's Flower Pinwheel Tutorial and come up with some amazing pinwheels of your own.
I'm going to the Scrapbook Store today to try and find the perfect paper for my own Valentines Pinwheels and I'll share once their all made up. I'm thinking glitter, obviously.

It's Valentines Time!
Monday, January 18, 2010
Yay! I'm so excited to start working on Valentines treats & crafts! I love Love Day and I think that this one will be the best ever since I'm starting early on all my projects. I'll be collecting ideas from all over so get ready for some pink & red overload.
First I looked for the quintessential Valentines Day treat- Red Velvet Cake. There are many ways to go about serving this treat- so pick your favorite and dive on in.
There's the Bakerella Red Velvet Cake Balls for an easy, pop in your mouth treat.

The Bakerella Red Velvet Sandwich Cookies

And the Bakerella psycho Valentines Cake which is too ridiculous and amazing for me to attempt this year. Maybe next year I'll have the cajones. :)

One thing about Bakerella, she is soooo incredible but she uses boxed cake mix a lot, which I usually can't bring myself to do. I figure if I'm going to take the time to bake a cake, I'm going to go the whole nine yards and start from scratch. Also, I'm kind of a cake snob. BUT- if I were to use a cake mix I would definitely use Sprinkles Red Velvet Cake Mix from Williams and Sonoma.
Then you could make Sprinkles Cupcakes in your own kitchen! Delicious!
After some research, I found this recipe from the Magnolia Bakery in NYC for their version of Red Velvet Cupcakes with Creamy Vanilla Icing. I will be using this recipe but Sprinkles Cream Cheese Frosting recipe, since the best part of Red Velvet Cake is always the Cream Cheese Frosting. Yum. Here's the Magnolia Recipe and the Sprinkles Frosting recipes in printable form for you, now get baking!

Get Ready for the Valentines Day
Thursday, January 14, 2010
I know it seems like we just took our Christmas stuff down, but I'm already thinking of all the fabulous Valentines Day things that I need to make. I have seen so many awesome projects all over the place, I can't wait to dive in! I'm officially starting Valentines projects next week, but to prepare I need to show you all the awesome House of 3 stuff that they just came out with!
They have a whole Valentines Day Section- I bought about half of the items and will probably be getting the rest soon.
By the way, did anyone see their live webshow last night? It was flippin amazing-there were a TON of great Valentines ideas on their show! The whole thing was about the Silhouette Digital Cutter, which I need asap. They are running a smokin deal on it, with some freebies, so if you are in the market for a digital cutter, you MUST watch the webshow to see all the fantastic things you can make with the Silhouette. I need to make some money if I'm going to get my own!
If you missed the webshow, you better tune in next Wednesday at 6:00 Pacific time (that's 7:00 here in AZ) because they were giving away stuff left and right, including a PDF valentines freebie, a $5 off coupon code, and lots and lots of prizes the whole show! I am never missing another episode again!
