Wish Me Luck

Ok, here's the scoop- My doctor told me my blood count is low so tonight I have to go into the hospital and spend the night while I get a blood transfusion. Tomorrow morning I will have an ultrasound done. If either of the babies' fluid levels are low, they will induce me. If their fluid levels are normal, they will do an amniocentesis to determine if their lungs are mature. If they are, they will also go ahead and induce me. If they are not mature, they will be sending me home so the twins have more time in there to develop. Everyone hope and pray with me that everything works out. I am terrified of getting an amnio, so any happy thoughts you can send my way would be greatly appreciated!
I've spent yesterday and today preparing for my hospital stay. I have my quilt my mom made me, some pillowcases I sewed up this morning so I can bring my own extra pillows (they never have enough, you know) and I have little beanies dolled up for the girls once they arrive. I've also made up some thank you cards for all the sweet nurses and doctors that have cared for me this whole time-everyone has been so nice! I used this new Magical Brush Kit from House of 3 that Rhonna will be showing in the Live Webshow tonight.
I'll let everyone know how it goes and post some pictures asap if they end up coming tomorrow!

Those thank you cards are so cute!
ReplyDeleteYou will be in my prayers for sure!! And the babies! We want them to be healthy little ones!
ReplyDeleteYou already got the scoop from me on what can I do this weekend for the kids, you, anything. I am only a phone call away! You better use it woman!
And if those babes do arrive I can't wait to meet them! A hospital visit will be a must! :)
Ps. you are ridiculously cute and amazing for making thank you cards. Shut the hell up. Love it.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I always thought that they were going to come tomorrow (my little one's birthday), but I never guessed it because someone else had already guessed it and I thought I remember you saying to try and not pick the same dates as anyone else. You can even ask Ash. I wish you lots of luck and you, those sweet little girls and the rest of your family will be in my prayers with whatever happens tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAlso, please don't hesitate to ask me for help if you need it....while you are in the hospital or when you come home during those first weeks of sleepless nights. I will come over and watch your kiddos and help take care of those babies so you can sleep or your older ones are welcome at my house too. We (Ash & I) can pick them up and take them to the park or bring them to my house to play with my girls. Please let me know if you need anything and I mean that!!
ReplyDeleteI am excited for you and hope that you get to have those girls asap and that they are healthy and that you all do great! I know how miserable you are.....and I hope it ends soon for all your sakes....but it is good if they are ready! :) Aren't you almost 36 weeks??? They should for sure be ready by now!!!! :) Good luck and can't wait to see the pics!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is so crazy that this is all happening so soon. I woke up last night in a panic and my first thought was "The twins!" I'm dead serious.
ReplyDeleteSending all the good vibes we can muster your way that after the transfusion those little lumps of lady love will be all set to make their debut.
xo
