Saddest day for this momma. Best day for Olivia.

Happy Birthday To My Little Mister Landen

Saturday, July 16, 2011

Untitled from Rosemary Watson on Vimeo.

I got so choked up making this video of Landen, he was the sweetest little boy ever. It makes me so so sad he's getting bigger everyday, and pretty soon he won't let me kiss on him and ask me for a hug every night before bed ;( So I better cherish every one of his funny little quirks before they're gone because I just know that I'm going to turn around and he's going to be all grown up.

Happy Birthday To My Beautiful Princess Peepers!

Monday, July 11, 2011

Untitled from Rosemary Watson on Vimeo.

It was Penelope's birthday Saturday, and since we were out of town- her birthday video is being shared today. She had a fantastic birthday filled with presents, Chuck E Cheese, and balloons and is just getting sweeter and sweeter every day. I love you my sweet pea!

What I'm made of

Tuesday, June 21, 2011

Do you know the feeling of music running through you? Like there are some songs that the guitar strums literally start to flow through your veins and you close your eyes and you can feel the singer's voice penetrate your body. Do you ever get that feeling? I get it All. The. Time. I think that's why I became a dancer. I had no other choice- some songs just force me to move and carve out the song with my body.

I don't think I've ever been the most talented dancer, a lot of people have higher kicks, can do more turns, have better technique. Plenty of people can do amazing things with their strength and control and have trained for years perfecting that. I am not one of those people.

But I don't think you'll find anyone who loves it the way I do. Movement and music are the fabric of my soul and I don't think I'll ever escape it. Sometimes I close my eyes and I can envision myself on a stage with the lights shining on my face and I start to dance in my humble little living room, letting all that I am come spewing out and when I'm done I am in tears without really knowing why.

I'm sure my neighbors think I'm Looney Tunes.

Anyway, this is the song that forced me to dance the way I've always done. Give it a listen-it's nothing spectacular, nothing you'd hear on the radio, nothing popular; but I think it was written just for me.

Listen to it really loud, and I bet you'll see what I mean.

We interrupt your Monday for a new favorite jam....

And some attractive male hip hop dancers. This song has been playing over and over in our house. This band has sooooo many good songs- my dad is a HUGE music lover and has become obsessed with The Airborne Toxic Event because they actually have some real musical and songwriting talent. If he likes them, you know they're good.

PS_ We've extended our hello there! house Linking Giveaway until midnight tonight- link to the hello there! house blog & leave us a comment and you can come to our 2 day Event full of classes, good food, make & take projects, swag bags, & our Goodbye Bash! All that just for linking to us!

Announcing: Our First Vacation Without Kids!

Thursday, April 14, 2011

OMG guys, we were listening to this live version of one of our favorite songs last night, and Braden said, "We should totally go see him when he comes to town."

Of course I was more than down with that idea, so I jumped on his website and checked tour dates. Only one left in 2011. In VEGAS. With KEITH URBAN. As I was saying these words to Braden, I saw these lightbulbs going off in his head and big fat smile creeping over his face.

"Let's Go." He said.

Sometimes we talk about stuff we should do- like going on a cruise, or flying to Paris or New York but it's always just in a dreamy non-realistic way. We have 5 kids under 5 years old. Traveling and having fun is not really in our realm of possible things. But this was different. We've been wanting to take a honeymoon for about a year now- we never got to go on one when we got married because I was pregnant with Penelope and we had a 1 year old and a 2 year old. So now that we have TWO 1 year olds, a 2 year old, a 3 year old, and a 4 year old- CLEARLY, this is the best time to go on a vacation.

So, I called my mom and asked if she would be ok with watching the kids for a weekend (Which she totally was. How much do I love my mom? Too much to even describe) and we searched for concert tickets & our flight and hotel.

I swear I had butterflies in my stomach and was sweating when we pushed that "Purchase Now" button- but we're going! OMG you don't even know how exciting and scary this is! We're taking our FIRST real vacation together. Ever. We've known each other for 6 years now and have never gone on a vacation together. I'm so happy, I don't even know what to do :) Get ready for some awesome Vacation 2011 posts here on the blog & on Facebook. It's bound to be hilarious.

So I have A LOT of work to do before April 30th, starting with The Portfolio Project. Omigosh, I had such a great response yesterday for the project and I did more work on the site and made a neat little button for people to put on their blogs or websites if they are so inclined.

Spark Worship Day 1

Friday, September 10, 2010

Ok, I'm kicking off the Spark worship by sharing this music video, which I must admit, I was a little skeptical about. I am not a huge fan of Christian music. I know that sounds awful, but really I mostly think that good Christian musicians are few and far between. But this song is lovely and could be interpreted in many many ways, and really I just love the cinematography of the video and her butterfly wings. And the waltz cadence the song is in, it's perfect for rocking your babies to sleep.

Mindy Gledhill is performing at Spark and I wish wish wish I was there to hear this lovely little lullaby in person! It is so inspiring-I think I'll put my girls in butterfly wings!
